Who we are
Bula Properties is operated by Jone Lalabalavu, a UK sole trader trading as Bula Properties. Jone Lalabalavu is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@bula.properties or made by telephone on +44 7888 867970.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, contact details, company and property information, enquiry and consultation details, property-onboarding information, maintenance requests and photographs, booking or stay information, feedback, communication preferences and records of our correspondence.
We may also receive relevant information from a property owner, an online travel agency, a booking platform, a service provider or another person acting with your authority. Our website hosting provider may process basic technical and security information, such as IP address, browser information and request logs.
Why we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and arrange requested calls or services.
- To assess properties, prepare proposals and take steps before entering a contract.
- To deliver and administer agreed property-management, onboarding, maintenance and guest-support services.
- To communicate operational information, maintain records, protect our systems and establish or defend legal claims.
- To meet tax, accounting, regulatory and other legal obligations.
- To send optional marketing by email or SMS only where we have a valid permission or another lawful basis.
Our lawful bases
We rely on steps taken at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Bula Properties. Where required, we rely on consent for optional electronic marketing. You may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Who receives information
We share information only where reasonably necessary with service providers supporting our CRM, forms, email, telephone, scheduling, website hosting, document storage and professional advice; with property owners and their authorised suppliers; and with booking or travel platforms where relevant to the requested service. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purpose collected. Enquiry records are normally reviewed after 24 months of inactivity. Contract, transaction and core service records may normally be retained for up to seven years after the relevant relationship ends where needed for tax, accounting or legal purposes. Marketing preferences are kept until consent is withdrawn or the record is no longer needed. We may retain suppression information so that we can respect an opt-out.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Contact hello@bula.properties to exercise a right.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
Marketing choices
Service messages about an enquiry, booking or contract are not marketing. Optional marketing consent is separate and is never required to submit a form. You can unsubscribe from email, reply STOP to an SMS where available, or contact us directly.
Security and updates
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information unless requested through an appropriate channel. We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change; the date above shows the latest version.
